06.12.2011 - New Problem Solver for Static Noise – BERUCOAT AK 371

With the innovative microcapsule technology BECHEM has recently created a new generation of anti-friction coatings. Although the new quality BERUCOAT AK 371 does namely not belong to the MC-product family (MC stands for microcapsule technology), the microcapsule technology is implemented in the new water-based anti-friction coating.

The formulation based on new, ceramic microparticles produces extremely smooth surfaces and is used for the reduction of static noise inside the car, e.g. dashboards, door trims, sun roofs, etc. After drying, the coating which is applied on the construction parts leaves an elastic film with excellent separating effect. Besides the elimination of stick-slip effects, the formaldehyde free product allows strongly reduced adhesion on the coated surfaces and thus efficiently avoids seizure-related static noises, the so-called “smacking noises”. The temperature range is situated at -40°C to +80°C.
