BECHEM was founded in 1834 by Carl Bechem and is today managed in the sixth generation as family-owned company. In times of the industrial revolution our founder had the vision to use a vegetable raw material from the Rhus flower (staghorn sumac) to produce lubricants. The BECHEM symbol of the Rhus flower emblematises the processing of vegetable raw materials in the period of foundation to the use of renewable raw materials today and in the future. Thus the oldest German oil factory presents itself with continuity and feels committed to environment.
Today the company which has developed from Oel BECHEM to BECHEM Lubrication Technology stands for an international network and the translation of visions into practice.
With our long history and our business culture tailored to the future BECHEM is facing the forthcoming challenges.
